Neoprene shorts also known as compression shorts, warm pants or under shorts are used by people to aid in the treatment and prevention of thigh strains, quadriceps injuries and hamstring tears. They can also be useful in the management and rehab of conditions such as Gilmore's Groin and sports hernias. Prolines neoprene thigh support or thigh sleeve gives positive compression and heat to an existing thigh injury, which can increase blood supply which in turn speeds up recovery from a hamstring strain or thigh strain. The thigh support can also be used in injury prevention although it is not a guarantee that injury will not occur. At Proline we stock a number of groin supports and thigh supports that offer support to the thigh muscles and groin area. Through the use of neoprene we can give the affected area warmth which helps rehabilitate and prevent further injury. A Thigh muscle strain is quite common in many activities such as Football, Rugby, Netball and Skiing where the thigh muscle is used extensively. A Thigh muscle strain refers to a tear in the Quadriceps muscle group. The Quadriceps are located at the front of the thigh and are responsible for the extending of the knee. The quadriceps are a group of four fairly large muscles including the Vastus Lateralis, Vastus Medialis, Vastus Intermedius and the Rectus Femoris. |
