Groin pain and associated hernia pain at the front of the pelvis can develop during overuse. Injuries such as groin strains, Gilmore's Groin, sports hernias, and Inguinal Hernias are prevalent from sports where kicking is involved. Many people find that neoprene supports such as the Proline warm up shorts, hernia support belts and under shorts can aid in relieving the symptoms associated with groin pain and stiffness. Our Warm-up shorts provide warmth compression and support to the groin and hamstring and are often used by elite level athletes. Obesity, pregnancy, heavy lifting, chronic coughing, constipation and straining to pass stools can cause the intestine to push against the abdominal wall, and a part of intestine may slip through a weak spot, creating a lump. This lump is called a hernia. They are rarely painful, and the bulge commonly disappears on lying down. The inguinal ligament is a tight band located between the thigh and the stomach and there are several weak spots along it. By using our inguinal hernia support one can gain some relief from the related symptoms. Hernia and groin problems are common sports injuries, particularly prevalent in soccer where the pelvic region is subject to large torsional (rotating) loads. |
