Adjustable Hinges Kit

The adjustable hinge pin kit is available as an option for our Mustang range of braces only. Product code references:- PL01& FL01. The kit contains four flexion stops and retaining screws.

The adjustable flexion stops can be altered in order to provide varying degrees of mechanical lockout, ranging from 5 degrees static (immobilised), to 5-30, 5-60 & 5-90 degrees. Essentially they help limit the amount of movement in the knee joint during convalescence and are ideal for rehab situations where temporary immobilisation is required. Easy in-out fitment.

To fit undo top strap of brace and slide out hinges from pockets located on either side paying attention to the orientation of the hinge. Once removed the adjustable flexion stops can then be fitted to the desired position ensuring that the position of the stops are placed in the same plane for both left and right hinges. (a screwdriver will be required for assembly) Refitting of the hinges is the same as removing.

For hyperextension set all hinges are supplied factory pre set at 5 degrees. Should any other adjustment to this setting be required, contact our factory special services department with your requirement.
